In thinking about these graphs recall that from 2013 to 2019 the railway opened on August Wednesdays and has not done so since then.

Passenger Journeys
Passenger Journeys measures the traffic on the railway. The data is based on tickets sold plus complimentary tickets issued. Data is graphed from 2013 when a more consistent measure was begun in the Ticket Office. Average Passenger Journeys per Sunday excludes wet days when passenger journeys were less than 100.
Total passenger journeys includes all dates we were open and Halloween.
Customer Numbers are much lower than 'Passenger Journeys' since just over half our 'Customers' take a double ride'
Average passenger numbers each Sunday are probably the best way to track our success in attracting passengers. However total numbers will show the variation in revenue.

Halloween
In the past the Halloween event has been on the last Saturday in October. The following Sunday was a 'Normal' Sunday' which was usually poorly attended.
In 2025 there were two Halloween events on the last Saturday and the last Sunday of October. Halloween numbers for 2025 are the total of the two days.
Thus 2025 had one less 'Normal' Sunday than previous years.

Party Bookings
There was some recovery in Party Bookings in 2025
